So... we went to K-mart after work today. Ya. K-mart. The run down ghetto of the super store world. Thing is? K-mart might be shopped mostly by overweight rednecks (what isn't these days?), but that customer demographic means their clearance racks are mostly small sizes, and they have some really NICE women's clothing. I picked up what would probably amounted to at least $600 in new clothing for about $120.
Now, folks who know me know I'm not a clothes shopper. I hate shopping. I avoid it whenever possible. I usually get my 'new' clothing from the thrift store, and that's fine. But I have to say, being able to get brand-new-never-worn-by-someone-else clothing for about the same price I normally pay at Goodwill... @_@; Seriously. $3 for new shirts AND pants. I did get a couple other on-sale-but-not-clearance items too... And I had a good eye for size. Everything fit perfectly. So excuse me while I have a quiet little girlish squee. Ed finally gets his wish, and I am packing away the t-shirts, and tossing the jeans with holes in the knees. I have grown up clothes now. It is still WEIRD to see myself in the mirror and see someone who actually looks 25 instead of 17. Now all that's left to do is figure out what the hell to do about my hair....
